The lack of good cell service dictated the major activity of the day.  It was time to pay a few bills at home, but the problem with logging into bank accounts from a remote location is that the two-factor authentication becomes a serious issue. If you can't receive a text message, then you can't log into your bank account and you can't pay your bills. We should have thought about that several days ago, but some things just don't come to mind at the proper time.

So, it meant a trip for Dave - all the way back to Gila Bend! The fear was that if a person makes too many attempts to login without making a response to the two-factor authentication request, eventually the account will be locked. Then it will take a lengthy phone call to get things straightened out. In the end it was a four hour ordeal to attend to a task that should have taken a few moments. A person forgets how important it has become to have quality cell phone service. It might be time to investigate an alternative. Right now our phones seem to try connecting to AT&T cell towers, based on the providers we are using - Shaw Mobile and the US-based MVNO Simple Mobile. It may be time to consider another alternative - one that uses T-Mobile or Verizon cell towers. T-Mobile would be the preferred option since it uses GSM technology like all Canadian and European providers. Verizon uses the old CDMA technology and it would likely require the purchase of another phone. The phones we both use are dual-sim capable so it makes it easy to use 2 different carriers on the same phone - a nice luxury when you travel.

While Dave was completing the easy part of the day - just a long drive, Brenda decided it was time to give Baxter a haircut. Its uncertain who was more frustrated when Dave returned to camp, but it was easy to see that both Brenda and Baxter had enough of the ordeal. But with a little help from Dave, the haircut ordeal came to a conclusion - complete with a shower for Baxter (and Brenda whether she wanted it or not). The extra hair was proving a little uncomfortable for Baxter as the temperatures are warming, and he now looks and feels much better. Brenda must have done a good job as a number of fellow campers have commented that Baxter looks like a handsome Schnauzer.

The remainder of the day was spent relaxing in whatever shade could be found at our campsite.
