It was very cold overnight. The weather forecast warned of freezing temperatures (32 F or 0 C), and according to our thermometer the temperature got as low as 1 degree C. Not quite freezing, but cold enough that the furnace worked overtime.

We were expecting the furnace to run often, and were concerned that it might deplete the coach batteries on the motorhome. Just before turning in for the night we fired up the generator to make sure the batteries were near full. At 95% we shut it down. It was great news this morning that the batteries had only depleted to 75%, so essentially only used 20% of their capacity overnight. So far we are very pleased with how our lithium batteries are performing.

The forecast tonight is to drop below freezing so our plan was to run into town and refill our water supply and top up the propane tank. However, a quick check of the propane shows us with still 1/4 tank so that should be enough to get us through one more cold night. There's no sense dumping waste tanks and refilling any more than necessary.

Dave made a trip to the local waste transfer site to dispose of our garbage, then into Bouse to pick up a few minor items and fill a 5 gallon bottle of water for drinking and cooking. We've noticed that the fresh water we put in our tank at the local community campground is a little hazy. The campground host indicated the well water is tested monthly and is fine for drinking - and it probably is - but we have continued to use water provided by the filtered water kiosk in town. Five gallons of water for $1.00 isn't going to break the bank and leaves the water in the tank for personal hygeine and dishes.

It was a pleasant afternoon sitting in the sun. At times almost too hot, but the NW breeze is still a little cool - a left over from Wednesday's storm.
