This was the day that we parted ways with Doug and Marlene. Marlene was home sick and wanted to travel home as quickly as possible. However Brenda and I are still in search of the ultimate fall colours so we headed north from Moncton, past Miramichi and Bathurst and reached the town of Campbellton New Brunswick. We found a great campsite in a provincial park on the south edge of Campbellton. The park is called the Sugarloaf. For a provincial park we are quite surprised with the amenities and price. It worked out to about $32 a night for all services and near our campsite they provide a coin operated laundry. Since there is a heavy rain in the forecast we've decided to sit tight here for about 3 nights. It looks like the fall colours are well on their way here as we are seeing many red, orange, yellow, and purple leaves. Hopefully in the next couple of days many more leaves will change colour.

On the way from Moncton we stopped for gas in a small town called Jacquet River, and the people there told us that we need to visit the "gorge" which is nearby and offers a fantastic view of the colourful trees. We intend to head down there in the next day or so depending on the weather as it is only about 50 kilometres away.
