Today it was time to depart from Winnipeg and head south into the United States. We picked up the trailer from Melanie and Kevin's house at about 12 p.m. and follow the perimeter Highway eastbound around Winnipeg and then south towards Emerson, MB.

It wasn't a long trip for us as we reached Grand Forks North Dakota at about 3 p.m. There was no problem crossing the border, we just answered a few questions and were sent on our way.

We waited around in Grand Forks until we heard from Doug and Marlene to determine whether we would have a chance to go a little further down the road or whether we would be spending the night in Grand Forks. They took a little longer than we had expected but I'm sure they took the opportunity to visit some sites along there route. It looks like we'll be spending the night in the Walmart campground on the south end of Grand Forks. We made sure to contact the Walmart store to make sure we had permission to stay.

Walmart camping isn't greatest at times, and this was one of those times. There was a parking lot sweeping truck that worked for several hours overnight, and I'm sure the operator made sure he passed by our units a few extra times just to let us know he was there. We all awoke in the next morning feeling less than rested.

Unfortunately we didn't take pictures to remember our Walmart campground.sealed
