This was another travel day although not an extended travel day. We left our campsite at Potato Creek and headed for the area in and around Dearborn Michigan. We stopped shortly after we left Potato Creek in order to make a phone call or two and arrange for camping. Since it was a long weekend coming up we were afraid that we wouldn't be able to find a site for the weekend. After a couple of phone calls we got lucky and got two sites for two nights at the Highland Recreation Area just north of Ann Arbor Michigan. We arrived at about 5 p.m. and found the so-called rustic campsite was actually a very nicely manicured site but only had grass surfaces on the sites. There was no gravel or pavement parking pads, just very large sites covered in beautiful green grass. I believe the normal use for this site would be for tents, but they let us use the sites to park our trailers. They are very nice sites not perfectly level by any means but reasonable and not overly expensive even though there are no services whatsoever other than a few outhouses. As I recall they were about $20 per night. After supper made plans to visit  the Henry Ford museum and the Motown museum in Detroit.
