Today it was time to move on from St Martins, but before we left we had to take the opportunity to go down and see the sea caves at high tide. We were able to leave our trailers in the campground while we drove down to the caves to take pictures of both the high water in the caves and of the fishing boats that were, in the evening prior, sitting on the ground. It was amazing to see the caves covered in water and the boats sitting high along the dock. We left St Martin, NB at  1:30pm and headed for Hopewell Rocks.

Our travels took us through Moncton. Our plan was to get to Hopewell rocks early so that we could witness the low tide but unfortunately Doug broke a spring on their trailer on the road just south of Moncton.  In order to help I dropped the trailer, along with Brenda and Baxter, in a church parking lot while I went back. Luckily we found parts for the trailer at a spring repair shop and since Doug is a mechanic there was no problem in replacing it.  The mechanical mishap was unfortunate in that we were unable to get to Hopewell rocks to see the lowest tide, and it made for a long day. We were glad to get to our campsite for the night.

I was thinking later that I should have taken pictures of the broken spring, but at the time it just seemed like a problem that we were glad to recitify. In hindsight, it just added to the adventure.
