Today we continued our trek eastward however it was just a short jaunt up the highway to Cornwall Ontario. It was only a couple hour drive and we settled into a great little campground called Upper Canada Campground.
Since we had the better part of the day remaining we took the opportunity to travel to Ottawa and visited the parliament buildings. We had originally hoped to have a tour of the buildings but apparently everything is quiet and shut down on Fridays. We did get the great opportunity to wander Parliament Hill and take lots of pictures. Near Parliament Hill we took a stroll down along Rideau Canal and then took a couple of hours to drive around the area slowly as it was rush hour by this time.
It was a whirlwind tour, but I think we saw the highlights of Ottawa.
