The four of us headed to PEI.  We wandered around the harbour area of Charlottetown, had lunch at the "world's famous fry shack".  So of course we all had french fries!  We toured through the local shops and had to make some purchases.  Although I didn't purchase one, there was a shop selling T-shirts. I saw a particularly interesting T-shirt design about a fish. As thoughtful as I am, I took the opportunity to pass a little compliment along to Brenda, and I said I'm glad she is not fat or I might have let her go. For some reason she failed to recognize the compliment. Check out the T-shirt design and I'm sure you'll agree that it was a wonderful compliment.

Then it was off to the West Point Lighthouse.  It was raining when we arrived which limited our photos outside but we got to climb to the top inside and see the history of the building and families that lived there.  The coastal highway was filled with tiny villages and beautiful red sand shores.  The red sand turns the ocean water a chocolate brown so when you look out you can see the deep blue waters farther out and brown water near the shore.

On the way back from the lighthouse we stopped at Summerside, and noticed a couple of old aircraft on display close to the highway. We had to stop and take pictures, and I must say the old Aurora was very impressive.

When we returned from out campsite, our first stop was the campground office. One of the seasonal campers was a lobster fisherman, and it was lobster season. The campsite owner ordered 8 lobsters for us, cooked and ready to eat. So, Doug and Marlene had 2 lobsters each, and since Brenda does not eat lobster, I got 4! They weren't gigantic lobsters, but large enough that after eating 4 of them I was stuffed.

I did learn one lesson though. The lobsters had been caught that day, and cooked for us earlier, so I asked how to reheat them. I was promptly told "You eat lobster cold, with warm butter". I've never had lobster that way, but I have to admit, I think eating it cold is the better way. It seems to taste better.
